Gut Renovation | Residential Interior Architecture & Design | Project Management
This project began with the client’s purchase of a residence on the Upper East Side that required a complete transformation. As a full
gut renovation, the goal was to reimagine the space entirely—developing a thoughtful plan that would align with the client’s lifestyle
while expressing a clean, modern aesthetic with subtle retro influences.
The design process centered on comprehensive space planning, ensuring that every square foot was utilized with intention. A fully
customized kitchen and bathroom were designed to balance simplicity with function, while lighting was carefully layered to enhance the
clarity and openness of the space. Custom millwork played a key role in defining the interior, including a built-in wall unit that
seamlessly integrates a Murphy bed—allowing the home to comfortably accommodate guests without compromising daily living.
Storage solutions were thoughtfully incorporated throughout, contributing to a sense of ease and organization.
The master suite was designed as a calm and refined retreat, balancing comfort with understated sophistication. Furnishings, art, and
décor were selected to reflect the client’s personal style—modern, with a retro sensibility—creating a cohesive environment that feels
both expressive and restrained.
The completed home is clean, functional, and quietly distinctive—designed to support the client’s daily life while reflecting their
individuality through thoughtful detail and design clarity.
A space where simplicity, function, and personal style come together with intention.
