Interior Refresh | Residential Interior Architecture & Design | Project Management
This project marked a second collaboration with the client, expanding our work together beyond their primary residence into their
upstate home in Saratoga Springs, New York. The property, a classic farmhouse-style residence, offered a new opportunity to explore a
different architectural language—one rooted in tradition, simplicity, and a quiet sense of history. The client’s vision was to refresh the
home in a way that felt authentic to its origins while enhancing comfort and livability.
The design process focused on subtle yet impactful updates that honored the character of the home. Interior shutters were introduced
to complete the architectural expression of the windows, reinforcing the home’s original intent. Paint colors were carefully selected to
create a warm and inviting atmosphere, while lighting fixtures were chosen for their classic presence and understated elegance.
Furnishings were refreshed with a transitional approach, incorporating touches of mission-style influence that complemented the
farmhouse aesthetic without overpowering it. Window treatments, updated flooring finishes, and layered textures brought cohesion and
softness to the overall design.
The final result is a home that feels timeless, comfortable, and deeply connected to its setting. Artwork collected by the client—many
pieces inspired by their passion for horse racing in Saratoga—was thoughtfully integrated throughout the space, adding a personal and
meaningful layer to the design. This project not only enhanced the home itself, but also strengthened a valued relationship, leading to
continued work together on their primary residences in Brooklyn.
A home that reflects tradition, personal story, and a sense of place—designed to be lived in and enjoyed over time.
