Fredericks Michael & Co., NYC
Gut Renovation | Commercial Interior Architecture & Design | Project Management
This project involved the transformation of a 10,000-square-foot raw space on Park Avenue into a fully realized, highly customized
corporate environment. Developed over the course of six months, the vision was to create a sophisticated and purposeful workspace
that reflected the firm’s brand identity, supported its internal hierarchy, and provided an elevated experience for both executives and
clients. From the outset, the design required a deep understanding of workflow, privacy, and presentation.
The design process began with a comprehensive space plan that carefully organized executive offices, interior offices, and workstation
layouts to support both collaboration and discretion. Given the nature of the firm’s work, soundproofing was a critical
component—ensuring confidentiality across all levels, from executive discussions to client interactions. Architectural and material
selections were integral to establishing the tone of the space, including Bendheim glass doors with solid wood frames, Venetian plaster
walls, custom limestone flooring, and a fully designed reception desk that set a strong first impression. Executive offices were furnished
with high-end pieces from Knoll and NuCraft, reinforcing both comfort and presence. Lounge areas and meeting spaces were
thoughtfully integrated to support extended client engagements, from informal gatherings to long, focused meetings, ensuring both
functionality and hospitality at the highest level.
Every detail was carefully developed in collaboration with the company’s executives—presented, refined, and approved through a
deliberate process before execution. Construction was closely managed in partnership with the architect and contractor, ensuring
clarity, precision, and a successful outcome aligned with the client’s expectations. The completed space is refined, confident, and highly
functional—an environment that not only reflects the firm’s professionalism but enhances how they engage with their clients.
This project also marked the beginning of a long-term relationship that continues today, extending beyond the corporate environment
into the client’s personal residence. It reflects a core philosophy of B Moore Design: creating spaces that are not only aligned with a
client’s vision but are thoughtfully adapted to different aspects of their life—balancing the structured, brand-driven needs of a corporate
setting with the warmth and individuality of a private home.
An interior that reflects who you are—professionally and personally—designed with clarity, purpose, and distinction.
