This project was located at 75 Clinton Street in Brooklyn Heights, known as Instrata Brooklyn Heights—a distinctive residential building
originally constructed in 1910 and later converted in 2012 into a nine-story, 74-unit luxury rental residence. Noted for its modern,
utilitarian, and modest exterior, the building stands apart from the surrounding 19th-century landmark architecture, offering a unique
contrast within one of Brooklyn’s most historic neighborhoods. The development included a range of residences from studios to three-
bedroom apartments, as well as penthouses, all designed to appeal to a broad yet discerning audience.
The design process focused on creating interiors that allowed potential residents to envision their own lifestyle within the space, while
still maintaining a strong connection to the building’s architectural identity and the character of the neighborhood. Kitchens and
bathrooms were designed with a refined, understated aesthetic—clean and minimal, yet thoughtfully detailed to feel complete and
elevated. Special attention was given to window detailing and flooring selections, ensuring they complemented both the building’s
structure and its modern reinterpretation. Model apartments were furnished with a transitional approach, blending contemporary comfort
with subtle vintage and retro influences to create a space that felt both approachable and distinctive.
Throughout the course of the project, the design was consistently presented to investors, requiring a clear and cohesive vision that
balanced aesthetic integrity with market appeal. Once approved, the execution moved forward with precision, resulting in a successful
completion that reflected both the building’s unique architectural presence and the lifestyle aspirations of its future residents. The
finished spaces offer a refined and inviting living experience—capturing the essence of Brooklyn Heights while introducing a modern
perspective that feels timeless and livable.
A thoughtfully designed environment that feels warm, inviting, and uniquely yours.
