This project began with a two-hour consultation for a client who had recently purchased a condominium at One Brooklyn Bridge Park,
located at 360 Furman Street—a landmark building originally constructed as a 12-story warehouse and thoughtfully converted into
luxury residences beginning in 2008. What started as an introductory meeting quickly developed into a full design engagement,
grounded in a shared appreciation for simplicity, sophistication, and purposeful living.
The client’s vision centered on minimalism—creating a space that felt refined, uncluttered, and highly functional, while still maintaining
warmth and presence. The design process focused on preserving the openness of the layout, allowing for ease of circulation and a
natural flow between living, dining, and kitchen areas. The expansive windows became a defining feature, bringing in an abundance of
natural light that was further enhanced through carefully layered lighting design. Each element was thoughtfully considered to support a
clean aesthetic while ensuring the space remained comfortable and livable.
The completed home feels calm, balanced, and quietly sophisticated. Furnishings, materials, and subtle details were selected to
complement the architecture without overwhelming it, allowing the client’s lifestyle to take center stage. This project also reflects a

An Upper East Side dream has come true for our client to own and operate her own retail shop. It was a truly enjoyable exploration of a
client’s dream to create her own sewing retail shop with notions/fabrics and sewing classrooms—a space that would feel inspiring,
welcoming, and creatively engaging for her clientele. From the outset, we worked closely to understand not only her aesthetic vision,
but also her business goals, ensuring the environment would support both retail sales and hands-on learning experiences.
The design process centered on carefully planning circulation and defining the balance between retail and classroom spaces. We
developed a layout that allows for a natural flow between browsing, purchasing, and participating in workshops, while maintaining clear
organization and flexibility. Custom millwork and integrated storage solutions were thoughtfully designed to display merchandise while
supporting the functional needs of a working classroom. Every detail was considered in relation to the company’s philosophy—creating
a space that encourages creativity, community, and repeat engagement, while also supporting long-term profitability through both
product and service offerings.

This project marked a second collaboration with the client—an opportunity to build upon an established relationship and a shared
understanding of the value of a well-designed home life. Having previously worked together, there was a strong level of trust and clarity
in how they wanted their space to support both their daily routines and future needs. Their vision centered on creating a refined, highly
functional home that felt welcoming, personal, and seamlessly connected.
The design process began with a full plan layout, carefully considering how each space would function individually and as part of the
whole. A customized kitchen was thoughtfully designed with integrated features, including a hidden storage closet that maintains a
clean, uninterrupted aesthetic. The living room was composed with custom furniture, a tailored area rug, and millwork that anchors the
space, while the dining area is centered around a custom-designed table that supports both everyday use and entertaining. A dedicated
home office was created with flexibility in mind, incorporating a custom Murphy guest bed to allow the space to transition effortlessly
when needed. Custom closets for both the primary bedroom and office/guest room, along with fully tailored bathrooms, were designed
to meet the client’s specific lifestyle and organizational needs.
Architectural details played a significant role in shaping the overall design. Moldings and wood flooring were carefully selected and
detailed to bridge a contemporary aesthetic with the character of the mid-century building, originally built in 1967. The result is a home
that feels cohesive, intentional, and quietly sophisticated. Furnishings, lighting, window treatments, art, and accessories bring warmth
and personality to the space, completing an environment that is both beautifully designed and deeply livable.

enhancing its architectural character. What started as a refresh quickly became a full gut renovation, driven by the need to create a
more open, functional, and welcoming environment for daily living and family life.
The design process focused on reimagining the interior architecture with thoughtful intention. Original closets were eliminated to open
the foyer, allowing it to lead gracefully into each room and establish a stronger sense of flow throughout the home. The formal dining
room was redefined as a child’s toy room, aligning the layout more closely with the family’s everyday needs. Custom flooring, locally
sourced, was selected to ground the home with warmth and authenticity, while customized doors and detailed moldings were designed
to reflect both craftsmanship and character. New windows were introduced with a carefully considered mullion pattern, honoring the
mid-century architectural language of the home. En-suite bathrooms were designed to provide comfort and privacy, while a custom
fireplace with flanking built-in bookcases became a central feature—adding both function and a sense of gathering.
