preparing for your in-home consultation
1. State Your Goals
Think about the purpose of your space and the overall look and feel you would like to achieve. Envision your ideal end result, then gather inspiration images of interiors, furnishings, colors, textures, or details that reflect the style you are drawn to. These visuals help communicate your vision clearly and efficiently.
2. Specify Your Problems
Make a list of the design challenges or dilemmas you would like addressed. Begin with your most pressing concern, then continue in order of priority. During the consultation, we will work through your list from the top down and address as many items as time allows.
3. Determine the Scope of Work
During the consultation, we will define the scope of work needed to complete your project. At that point, you may choose to implement the design recommendations on your own, or B Moore Design can prepare a proposal outlining the project scope, design services, and associated fees to complete the project for you.
4. Gather Important Information
If available, please have any existing floor plans, measurements, architectural drawings, finish samples, or photographs of the space ready for review. This information helps streamline the consultation process and allows for more informed design recommendations.
5. Establish Your Investment Range
Having a general understanding of your anticipated investment range for furnishings, renovations, or design services allows recommendations to be tailored appropriately to your goals and expectations.
6. Prepare Questions
Write down any questions you may have prior to the consultation. Whether related to layout, furnishings, renovations, finishes, timelines, or process, having your questions prepared ensures all important topics are addressed during our time together.
