B Moore Design, Inc. is led by Barbara R. Moore, ASID, a licensed Interior Designer in the State of New York with nearly 30 years of professional experience, which began 1996. Barbara began her career in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at The Design Alliance, where she specialized in corporate interiors. She went on to work with Perkins Eastman Architects, focusing on healthcare design, and later joined Janson Design Group in New York City, directing corporate and post-production studio projects.
In 2002, Barbara founded B Moore Design, Inc., establishing a practice known for refined, livable interiors that seamlessly balance elegance and functionality. Her timeless design approach blends transitional and contemporary elements to create cohesive, personalized environments that feel both sophisticated and approachable.
Barbara’s work has reached national audiences through her collaborations with NBC Universal Studios, contributing to multiple network design shows and building a strong media presence. In 2022, she returned to her roots in Pittsburgh, bringing her signature aesthetic and depth of experience back to the city where her design journey began. Today, she continues to serve clients both locally and nationally, creating spaces that elevate how people work, live, love, and laugh.

Since its founding, B Moore Design, Inc. has built a strong reputation for innovative work across residential, corporate, development, post-production, and healthcare sectors. In 2006, B Moore Design expanded to include a retail showroom and studio on Atlantic Avenue’s historic Antique Row, adding a contemporary design voice to a celebrated district. After ten successful years as a public retail destination, the showroom transitioned to an online platform. design process
Programming
We begin by identifying project goals, objectives, and budget parameters. Site conditions are verified through measurements, drawings, and/or photographs to establish a solid foundation for the design.
Schematic Design
Preliminary space plans and design concepts are developed to reflect your personal style and lifestyle. Presentations may include general color palettes, material samples, inspiration imagery, and initial drawings.
Design Development
All approved design elements are refined and documented through detailed drawings, floor plans, elevations, and specifications. Final selections and approvals for budgets, furnishings, fixtures, and finishes are completed during this phase.
Documentation
Comprehensive construction and design documents are prepared to support execution of the project. Proposals are finalized for furniture, window treatments, custom pieces, and all specified furnishings.
Installation & Finishing Touches
We conduct site visits and meetings to verify quality, accuracy, and progress. Materials, fixtures, finishes, and furnishings are delivered and installed according to schedule. The final phase includes styling and finishing touches—bringing the space together in a way that feels complete, personal, and uniquely yours.
